Helpline Service

Introduction

The National Drug Agency (NDA) Helpline 1410 was officially launched by former President Mohamed Nasheed on June 26, 2011. The helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It provides information about the centers, the treatment programs offered by the centers, and information to drug users and their families on how to abstain from drug abuse. The 1410 service protects the confidentiality of those who call this number.

Objectives

The aim of the National Drug Agency’s Helpline is to ensure that every client who comes for treatment is clean from substance abuse, socially acceptable, and capable of living a drug-free life. It is also to provide information to all who call inquiring about the services provided by NDA.

The 1410 helpline is on duty from 08:00am to 08:00am the following day (24 hours).

The National Drug Agency Helpline 1410 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service was officially launched on 26 June 2011.

The helpline provides information about NDA’s treatment centres, the treatment programmes those centres run, and the routes into treatment — as well as information for people who use drugs and for their families.

Calls to 1410 are confidential.
